Masizame children celebrate Mandela Day

Knysna Elephant Park celebrated Mandela Day on July 18 …with giant hands made from oranges for our elephants and a wonderful 67 minute walk around the park with special guests and children from the local Masizame Children’s Shelter. Volunteers visit the shelter every two weeks to play and create eco-educational activities. On Mandela Day, the kids got to visit the park and help us sing Happy Birthday to Madiba. Proceeds from the walk were donated to the shelter. Thank you to all involved for a wonderful morning in honour of a very special man!
