Coronavirus | COVID-19 UPDATE

26 March 2020

Following the South African Government’s decision on Monday Night, 23 March 2020, to declare a Nationwide Lockdown we have suspended all tours, walks and accommodation as of Wednesday, 25 March 2020 at 16h00, until further notice.

We share this news with a heavy but hopeful heart as extraordinary circumstances require extraordinary measures, and this has become more and more apparent over the last few weeks as we face the COVID-19 Pandemic.

In 25 years of Knysna Elephant Park history we have never been faced with such a situation as we close our doors to the public and are forced to send most of our staff home. We face the scary thought of providing food for our Gentle Giants while we have no guests to generate an income. Our thoughts are with each one who is fighting on the frontline against the spread of the virus.

We are hopeful because we know that once we have come out on the other side of this pandemic, we as a nation will be stronger together and that, we as South Africans will support local businesses whenever we have the opportunity to in the future.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and remain in contact with our industry partners regarding the way forward.

All phone calls, enquiries and reservations will still be managed, please call us on

+27 (0)72 290 7238 between 09h00 and 16h00 or email bookings@knysnaelephantpark.co.za

We wish you, your staff and families as well as your guests all the best through the extraordinary times that lie ahead.

Stay safe, stay well and stay home.
