Elephant Care Fund

We are more than a Park... we are a family

In close on 26 years we have never faced such a dire situation. Along with many other South African businesses we were forced to close our doors on the 26th March 2020 due to the ever growing COVID-19 pandemic and National Lockdown. We have received numerous queries from our supporters around the world as to how they can contribute towards the care of our amazing herd of ellies. We are truly touched by this thoughtful generosity and have therefore set up this donation page for those of you who are able and wish to contribute.

Contribute to the care of our elephant family

Now, more than ever are we profoundly grateful for all our supporters. We are thankful that we have such a dedicated team who have continued working during these uncertain times. It is through this dedication and your invaluable support that we have always been able to provide our elephants with the best possible facilities, nutrition, and care.

As the tourism sector remains closed and the Tourism Minister has indicated that International Travel will only resume in February 2021, we stand alongside the Tourism Business Council of South Africa, SATSA and the Greater Knysna Business Chamber who are lobbying for the sector to open sooner, else many businesses will not survive.

If we are lucky, tourism may be allowed to open in September at the earliest, if not close on 800 Garden Route businesses will have to close their doors to the public for good. Once businesses have cut all expenses, laid off staff and gone down every possible payment relief avenue the question is: What do we do now?

Closing our doors for good is not even an option as we have a four-legged family, a herd of 10 elephants, who depend on us. It is at this point that we are left with no other choice than to turn to those who have supported us during the last 26 years.
