At the end of your encounter, you will return to the Indlovu Café and Curio Shop. Built alongside a beautiful dam, the cafe offers you a place to relax and reflect on your elephant experience. A wooden deck allows you to sit close to the water, sip freshly squeezed juice and admire the birdlife that frequents the dam. On colder days, venture inside and sit close to the fire with a cup of hot chocolate or a hearty bowl of soup.
The cafe is open to all and we welcome local visitors to the Park who may want to get away from the hustle and bustle of town. We invite everyone to come and enjoy the scenery…who knows, you may even spot an elephant in the distance! Our resident herd of zebra are also regular visitors to the grassy areas surrounding the cafe.
The cafè offers a wide selection of beers and wines, many of which are made locally along the Garden Route. If time is short, there are a variety of both sweet and savoury treats that are ideally suited to grab and go.
The cafè sources natural and local in-season ingredients for its menu, which offers a variety of dishes from hearty daily soups and salads to tasty burgers, wraps, sandwiches and other snacks. Croissants, scones, cakes and chocolate brownies are some of the delectable items available for teas and desserts!
With a playground adjacent to the café, there is plenty to keep the children occupied while you wait for your meal. The cafe is also available for small functions, group outings and children’s birthday parties.

With loads of space, 2 outdoor playgrounds and sometimes a jumping castle, there is no reason for your kids not to sleep like logs at bedtime! Our restaurant is set out perfectly, our bottom deck becomes the dedicated party ‘house’ while the rest of our guests enjoy the upper deck. Parents can sit and enjoy a beer or a glass of wine, knowing that their kids are having a good time without upsetting the ‘Karens*’ of the World.
